Storm players clinch WAC Title for Aggies

With a conference title on the line, Storm players Candice Clark, Chandra Salmon and Heather Pond scored all five goals in their two wins to clinch the WAC Championship. Clark (right) was particularly clutch as she scored both game winners in their 2-1 win at Hawaii and 3-2 win at San Jose St. Clark was named WAC Athlete of the Week for her efforts. At Hawaii Clark scored both goals. At San Jose St., Salmon and Pond scored their first goals of the season before Clark tallied the title clinching game winner.

Storm alumni scored 16 goals last week for their teams and now have 76 goals on the season accounting for 27 game-winning-goals. Candice Clark scored 2 gwg's on the weeked for Utah State while the 5th goal for Kassidy Christensen equated to her 5th game winner for BYU. Four freshman scored their first career goals last weekend as Salmon scored for Utah State, Noelle Sanders tallied a game winner for Idaho State, Camille Broderick scored for Utah Valley and Shayla Holmstead tallied for Dixie State.

Alex Phillips big part of Washington turnaroud

Storm alum Alex Phillips (right) has an 8-3 record in goal this year for the Washington Huskies who finished with a 5-13-1 record in 2007. Phillips has recorded 4 shutouts and allowed just 11 goals in helping the Huskies to a 9-3 start this year. Phillips has played brilliantly in goal despite the team losing consecutive games in overtime to Top 5 ranked teams.

Storm alumni have scored 54 college goals and accounted for 22 game winning goals for their schools this fall. Each goal scored by Kassidy Christensen (4) and Adrienne Schneider (3) have been game winners. Last weekend several players scored important goals as conference play has begun. Tamika Wilson, who has been battling a knee injury all year scored the game winner for Wyoming over Top 25 ranked TCU. Katy Reineke also got on the board with 3 goals in Utah's two wins.

Facing Off: Several Storm players faced each other last weekend as seven
alumni at Idaho State took on Utah Valley (8 alumni) and BYU (10
alumni). Also Utah Valley's 8 faced 2 Storm alum at SUU and Utah's six
alumni faced Utah State and their 4 storm players.

Adrienne Schneider gets 2nd game-winner of the season in 3-2 win at Southern Utah. Alex Phillips notched her
2nd shutout and fourth win of the year for undefeated Washington. Whitney Feller (BYU) gets first goal of the
season. Jen Nielsen (UVU) gets third goal of the year.

Freshman Ashley Askwig scored a game-winner for Idaho State in her first college game.

Several Storm players are heading into their senior seasons including 3-time All-America Katie Larkin who led
the NCAA with 12 game-winning-goals in 2007. Tamika Wilson was the MWC MVP last season and looks to
become Wyoming's All-time leader in goals scored. Jessica Thompson has already added to her all-time assists
record at Nevada. Mikala Wilkes led all CSSC alumni with 16 goals in 2007 at Dixie.

Katie Larkin and US WNT win Nordic Cup

Storm Alum Katie Larkin
(16) helped the US bring home the Nordic Cup Title from Sweden in July. Larkin has traveled to Europe four times this year, three times with the US U23's to England, Germany and Sweden, and once with BYU. Larkin has proven her worth at the National level after leading the NCAA in game-winning-goals in 2007
