Most academy-aged players are admitted to the program,
however in some cases we will recommend that a player continue with their
recreation team and return to the academy in a future year if, in the opinion
of the coaching staff, that player will become frustrated with the demands of
our training program and match play.

Jennifer Rockwood to Direct Celtic Storm Academy
Celtic Storm is proud to announce that Jennifer Rockwood, head coach of the BYU women’s soccer team, will take over the Celtic Storm Academy for the 2009/2010 year. Rockwood brings a wealth of experience and success to the table as she takes over the leadership of the Academy. She has led BYU women’s soccer team to national prominence with consistent national top 25 finishes, including three in the top ten. She has lead BYU to MWC regular season and tournament MWC Championships in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, and 2007. Rockwood has twice been named as the Conference Coach of the Year as well as having
been named as the Soccer Buzz West Region Coach of the Year.
Rockwood has a strong record of developing exceptional players including a long list of All-American soccer players such as Katie Larkin, Jaime Rendich Beck, Aleisha Rose and Michelle Jensen. She's had five players selected to play in professional women’s soccer including Katie Larkin, another of who was drafted 19th overall in the Women’s Professional Soccer League to play for the Los Angeles Sol.
Rockwood will direct the Celtic Storm Academy on the field with the girls to help with their training. We could not be more excited to welcome Jennifer to the Celtic Storm family.
