Utah State Gets Big Catch! Chandra Salmon commits to Aggies. Salmon aka "Fish" is known for an exceptional work rate coupled with skills, strength and tenacity in the defensive and midfield positions. A junior at Provo HS, Fish is a two-time All-State and All-Valley player for the Bulldogs scoring 46 career goals to date. She led class 4A with 22 goals in 2006. Salmon will finish her career as a Bulldog this fall then join the Aggies in the Fall of 2008. Fish is also in the Region IV '90 ODP Player Pool. At Utah State she'll be teammates with former Celtic Storm players Candice Clark and Jessica Darrow, along with 2007 signees Heather Hatfield, Heather Pond, and Stefani Shiozaki.

Dana Oldroyd commits to Brigham Young Oldroyd (right #2), a junior midfielder at Timpanogos HS is the first Storm player in the class of '08 to verbally commit. Despite the majority of Storm recruits heading out-of-state the last few years, BYU continues to get their share of players from the Celtic Storm talent pool. In 2006, 11 players (1/3 of their roster) were former Celtic Storm players. This fall 10 of the Cougars will be Celtic Storm alumni.

Storm advances to Nomads Semifinals see results from San Diego. In pool play Storm defeated FC Bratz of Southern Cal 3-0. They then lost to Arsenal of Arizona 3-2. In their final match of pool play defeated Montana Blitz 2-1 and received help from the Bratz who defeated Arsenal to give Storm the top spot in their pool. In the Quarterfinals, Storm got by CSC San Diego 1-0 to advance to the semifinals.

Chandra Salmon (right) and Anne Schallenberger named Deseret News 4A 1st Team All-State. Salmon led 4A in goals with 22 and added 16 assists for Provo HS. Schallenberger added 14 goals and 4 assists for Orem in their schools best season ever.

Orem players: Brianne Larsen was named 2nd Team while Aly Tucker, Jamie Lyons (15 goals), Kaitlyn Thomas where Honorable Mention.

Silver State Champions!

Celtic Storm U16 Premier won the Silver State Invitaional last weekend in Las Vegas with a 3-2 decision over Utah County rival Inter FC. After falling behind 2-0, Ashley Kamoe started the comeback with a goal by beating the GK on a one-on-one. Then Noelle Sanders tied the game off a free kick from Anne Schallenberger. Shallenberger then hit a perfectly placed free kick for the game-winner.

On the road to the final, Storm defeated OYRX Premier from Minnesota 1-0, played a 0-0 draw with Heat 90 of Nevada and defeated Arizona Rush 90 3-0. The tournament served as good preparation for the Nomads Coaches Showcase in San Diego the first weekend of April.

90 Premier (U16's) get two wins at Nike Harvest Cup in Irvine California. Just miss advancing on goals allowed.

The U16' defeated Manteca Rangers United (CS) 1-0 and the CVU Crossfire (CN) 2-1.

In the final vs La Roca U-16 Premier, Storm came from behind and scoring four second half goals to win 4-1. Noelle Sanders tallied a hat trick and Anne Shallenberger scored another. Jamie Lyons and Dana Oldroyd each had two assists. During pool play they tied LaRoca 3-3.
